On 5 July RGSL Professor Ineta Ziemele will be attending the Commemoration of the Seventieth Anniversary of the International Law Commission taking place in Geneva. Professor Ziemele will take part in the panel discussion titled “The function of the Commission: How much identifying existing law, how much proposing new law?”
The International Law Commission was established by the UN General Assembly in 1947 to initiate studies and make recommendations for the purpose of encouraging the progressive development of international law and its codification.
