Riga Graduate School of Law is proud to announce the first winner of the RGSL Director’s Award for young women interested in Law and Business studies – Sabine Vaivodisa, our first year bachelor student.
Sabine is from Ikskile, a small town outside of Riga. Besides her excellent academic results, Sabine is actively involved in Youth Council work at Iksikle municipality. She has organised several events with high numbers of attendants and regularly performs voluntary work. Sabine also worked for Erenimi archery team where she proved herself as a smart and likeable young leader.
As for her social initiative, Sabīne is eager to develop an education platform for young women and help them grow potential and achieve goals in the business environment. Sabīne says that she loves challenges and experiences that push her out of her comfort zone and help her to improve!
As a winner of the award, Sabīne will receive a 2000 euro monetary award to support her studies at the RGSL’s Law and Business Programme or for development of her social project idea as well as personal mentorship and guidance from Inga Bratena, RGSL Director.
Inga Bratena, RGSL Director and founder of the Award, says:
“I had no doubts that Director’s Award will go to a strong, ambitious, dedicated and academically superior girl. Sabīne is so young, still so rich in her experience, attitude to life and things she has achieved both in school, business and her community.

The RGSL Directors Award was established in 2017 with a purpose to support young women who have gone above and beyond the desire to enhance their education, pursue their dreams and eager to give back to their communities.
