Riga Moot 2018 concluded on 25 May with the victory of the team from Vilnius University. In front of a panel with seven senior legal experts, Saulius Bareika, Mindaugas Beniušis and Paulius Bareika were competing against Anastasiia Bugrova, Kirill Zyubanov and Dariia Kazakova from the Russian Foreign Trade Academy. Both teams demonstrated excellent presentation skills and legal argumentation.
Riga Moot 2018, an international moot court competition, took place at Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) from 24-25 May with teams from six countries – Belarus, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine. Mark Zujev and Ieva Hūna from RGSL reached the semi final.
For the second year, the Law Office Koltiņi & Serģis provided the monetary prize to the winning team of Riga Moot. Several leading law offices COBALT Legal, Ellex Kļaviņš, Loze & Partners and the Law Office Vilgerts – supported the competition by seconding their representatives to serve as judges and to share their expertise with students.
