Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) considers its students' safety and health of utmost importance and therefore would like to ensure a safe return to in-class lectures, which are important and beneficial part of the study process.
For the academic year 2021/2022 we have chosen the safe mode, suggested in the respective guidelines issued by Ministry of Education and Science and in compliance with the current version of Cabinet Regulations No.360. The safe mode assumes that lectures are conducted in-class for students who are in possession of a valid digital COVID Certificate of vaccination or recovery. The safe mode chosen by RGSL will allow in-class lectures without additional restrictions i.e. in regard to number of students per auditorium, mask requirements etc. Distancing should not be observed and mouth and nose masks should not be used in the classes.
To ensure that all students have sufficient time to get vaccinated, the new academic year 2021/2022 for all students starts online on 30 August and continues online until 19 September.
Starting from 20 September 2021, RGSL resumes in-class studies. In accordance with Cabinet Regulations No. 360, Article 40.13., it will be mandatory to present a valid COVID Certificate which confirms full vaccination or recovery. There will be no simultaneous online studies for students without a valid COVID certificate. Please see the attached regulations for more detailed rules.
Some of the courses shall still be conducted fully or partially online also throughout the academic year. The information regarding these will be provided separately.
For the time being only students, staff and tenants will be allowed into RGSL premises, the entry ensured by using electronic entry cards at the entrance doors. Any visitor coming to RGSL must present a COVID certificate at the guard`s post.
In order to ensure compliance with recommendations and regulations by government and health institutions during the COVID pandemic RGSL has developed detailed internal guidelines, please see attached. RGSL Administration will continue to monitor the respective requirements and will update the internal regulations accordingly.
