On 27 August the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) started its new academic year 2018/2019. Our lecturers and administration are looking forward to the upcoming months!
The welcoming speeches for this year’s students were given by RGSL Acting Rector Jānis Ikstens and Director Ieva Rācenāja. This year RGSL will have 124 students in total from 17 different countries as well as 17 new Erasmus students.
As an internationally recognized institution, this year RGSL welcomes students from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Estonia, France, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan and of course Latvia.
RGSL will also start the academic year with a Public lecture "Brexit and Intellectual Property Rights" by Prof. Dr.Alexander von Mühlendahl. The lecture will take place on 13 September 2018 at 17:00. More information available here.
On 1 October RGSL will launch the next Advanced Programme in European Law and Economics for the Eastern Partnership region and Central Asia. The Advanced Programme is implemented based on the Grant Agreement between the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Riga Graduate School of Law as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between Riga Graduate School of Law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Latvia. This autumn, 31 participants will attend the programme.
