We are happy to announce the new Jean Monnet academic project which will be carried out by Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) over the next three years.
In the framework of the project "EU Fundamental Values in Times of Crisis" RGSL will organise annual Summer Schools building on the specific crises that the European Union has encountered such as the 2014 refugee crisis, terrorist attacks in 2015 and 2016, the COVID-19 crisis, and others. The participants of the Summer School will discuss the EU’s experience in responding to crises, examining available legal and political crisis management instruments as well as crisis prevention mechanisms. The project’s audience – Bachelor students studying law and related disciplines.
The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge of EU fundamental values and to contribute to the effort of bringing the EU closer to the public by raising general awareness about European principles and standards.
This project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme within the framework of the Jean Monnet Actions in the field of Higher Education Teaching.
