On 27 June Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) held its 21st graduation ceremony. The graduates were congratulated by Jānis Ikstens, RGSL Acting rector, Raimonds Slaidiņš, Senior Partner at Ellex Klavins law firm, Laura Ratniece, Bachelor programme director, Waleed Gumaa, Masters programme director and guests.
In their graduation speeches, Class of 2019 graduates talked about the experience, challenges, and most importantly - the feeling of being a member of the RGSL family and the gains of studying here.
“We have gained immeasurable experience we could never have gotten somewhere else - comprehensive legal knowledge as well as real-life skills necessary to blend with the new digital age and the market development,” Zane Skļamina, LL.M, graduate of “International and European Law” Masters programme of 2019.
“My dear RGSL, we are begging - keep that spirit of family. Great unity, support, and high common goal makes this place unique. And, believe us, all the future students will desperately need it,” Marks Zujevs, LL.B, graduate of “Law & Business” Bachelor programme of 2019.
"We all are human beings and obviously cannot like every person in the entire world but we did get along all the times when it came to the teamwork. We were never separated, instead, we felt the responsibility and, thus, we proved ourselves to be reliable teammates and friends, ” Sergejs Gorjunovs, LL.B, graduate of “Law & Diplomacy” Bachelor programme of 2019.
We at RGSL are extremely proud of all the graduates and wish them all success in their future endeavours.
