Law office PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal (PwC Legal), Latvian Competition Council and Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) announces the second research paper contest in the field of competition law. The main award is 1000 EUR cash prize and an internship at the Competition Council.
Entries can be submitted in Latvian or English, until 14 May 2023.
“Last year’s papers covered the wide spectrum of selected topics, ranging from very practical issues from the daily work of the Competition Council to the theoretical aspects of Competition law the solutions of which is in the future. We hope the best students will be creative and cover the topics useful for the development of the Competition law in the future,” says the Chairman of the Competition Council Juris Gaiķis.
“The research papers submitted for the previous contest did show that the Competition law has various topics where the in-depth research is needed and that students can give an essential input to this research,” says Assistant professor of RGSL Dr. Laura Ratniece. “This competition is a good chance to develop your research skills and it can be a start to become an expert in the Competition law. Therefore we invite everyone who fits the participation criteria to submit their papers.”
The 5 finalists will be determined until 24 May 2023, and they will be invited to present their works until 9 June 2023.
