In the framework of the discussion “Can Latvia become a platform for European Citizens Initiatives in Northern Europe?”, which took place in EU House, 2nd floor, May 2 the visiting lecturer of the RGSL Dr. Ilze Ruse presented the preliminary research results of a project on activity of Latvian NGOs in interest representation concerning the EU legislation. The discussion focused on the trans-governmental cooperation in newly launched European Citizen's Initiative, which opens up new possibilities for the European citizens to influence the policy making in the EU.
