RGSL team's great performance at Telders moot court
On 25-27 April 2013 the annual Telders International Law Moot Court Competition took place in the Hague. The Riga Graduate School of Law (hereinafter - RGSL) was represented therein by RGSL students Luīze Mantiņa, Rolands Žīgurs, Ketevan Vardosanidze and Dmitriy Piskunov.
This years Telders International Law Moot Court Competition case concerned treaty interpretation, law of international watercourses, shale gas extraction process and environmental law.
The RGSL team competed with the teams of Greece, Finland, Portugal and Romania. After very successful oral performance in the rounds, the RGSL team got the 8th place as Applicants and 12th place as Respondents out of 25 teams from the European universities. Overall, together with written memorials the Latvian team was ranked in the 20th place. Luīze Mantiņa was evaluated as the 9th best oralist out of 100 participants. The Leiden University got the first place.
The Latvian team was coached by lecturer Ieva Miluna.
