John Vervaele is Professor in criminal law and criminal procedure at the Utrecht School of Law with more than 25 years of experience.
- His research and teaching focus on criminal procedure, European criminal law, human rights and comparative criminal procedure
- He also advises public authorities, both at national and European level and he has taught to Training Schools for the Judiciary in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania etc.
