On 15 December Dr. Rolf Seebauer was elected RGSL Distinguished Guest Professor and in this connection presented a public lecture on the topic Financial Theories – The Framework of Today´s International Crisis.
Dr. Seebauer has a long and distinguished professional career as Senior Partner in a leading German strategic management consultancy firm and has served as advisor to numerous large German and international business enterprises, financial institutions, insurance groups and real estate companies.
Holding a doctoral degree in Economics from Innsbruck University, Dr. Seebauer has furthermore been affiliated with and lectured at prestigious universities in different parts of the world, including Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Mass.; Steinbeis University, Berlin; WHU, Koblenz; and Tongji University, Shanghai. He has since 2006 been a guest professor at the University of Latvia and has since 2008 regularly taught at the Riga Graduate School of Law.
His areas of expertise include: Corporate strategies, Management transformation, Strategies of financial institutions, Risk management, Investment management / asset management, Corporate and public real estate strategies.
Dr. Seebauer has in the course of his career received several honours and orders of merit. It is a tremendous asset for RGSL that he will now join the faculty as Distinguished Guest Professor. His outstanding teaching record speaks for itself and he will bring new inspiration both to the on-going research and to the continued development of master’s and bachelor level programmes.
