Upward Association in cooperation with the Riga Graduate School of Law organized public discussion “Quality and Competition Issues at Latvia's Institutions of Higher Education“ on September 26th, 2012, 15:00, Strēlnieku iela 4k-2 at the Riga Graduate School of Law.
Is higher education in Latvia globally competitive? Do higher education institutions in Latvia offer a quality education? Our objective is to answer these and other questions and to hear the Minister of the Education and Science discuss his vision for the future of the higher education in Latvia. Participants will be given the opportunity to express opinions and ideas about the quality of higher education in Latvia.
Our featured guest lecturer is Roberts Ķīlis, Minister of Education and Science. The discussion will be further enhanced by key members of student associations from the University of Latvia (LU), Riga Technical University (RTU), Rīga Stradiņš University, the Stockholm School of Economics in Rīga and a representative from the Latvian Student Association.
Upward Association strives to present multiple viewpoints and provide a forum for open discussion and debate about important issues. Brief presentations by our guest speakers are followed by a question and answer session, providing ample opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue.
