Prof. Dr. Frank Diedrich conducted a Humboldt-Kolleg international conference on the politically highly important topic "Ubuntu, Humanity and Good Faith/Equity as Flexible Principles in Law and Society in Southern Africa - Appropriate Principles in an Ever-Changing World?" from 1st till 3rd September 2010 at the North-West University, Faculty of Law, Potchefstroom, South Africa.

The conference attracted numerous high-ranking participants from Southern Africa and Germany, inter alia the Chairperson of the South African Law Reform Commission and former judge at the Constitutional Court, Justice Yvonne Mokgoro.
