At the Open Day event of Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL), which was attended by nearly 200 potential students, there were drawn two lots for free studies - one of bachelor studies and the other for master studies - for the academic year 2010/2011. The prizes were awarded to:
KRISTAPS DONIKS (bachelor programme)
EVIJA KLAVINA (masters programmes)
The draw of free study places followed a programme composed of a welcome by the rector George Ulrich, a presentation of the study environment and the individual programmes, and a social get together between current and potential students, as well as faculty and staff of RGSL.

"I am in Grade 12 at Riga State Gymnasium No.1. My future plans were related to business activities, where business issues go hand in hand with law. Therefore for a long time it was difficult to decide what to study after the gymnasium – law or business, because both seemed important and interesting for me. And then suddenly I learnt about the possibility to study both fields at the Riga Graduate School of Law Programme Law and Business. It was a joy to win, and my family and my friends were happy too!"

"I am a final year student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia. In addition to my studies, I provide legal services as a volunteer at the"Marta" Resource Centre for Women. I am already the fourth generation in my family that has chosen the lawyer’s profession, and during my studies at the University of Latvia I realized that I made just the right choice and that I am doing exactly what I want. The opportunity of studies at the Riga Graduate School of Law is even more precious because I have chosen it as the best school for master’s studies available in Latvia. I am really satisfied with the opportunity to study at the RGSL programme in International and European Union Law."
