On 14 October 2011 Professor Dr.habil.philol. Ina Druviete held a guest lecture “Language policy and language laws: sociolinguistic and legal aspects”.
Professor of the University of Latvia Ina Druviete is author of more than 350 scientific articles in general linguistics, sociolinguistics and language policy. She was the Vice-President of European Federation of National Institutions for Language and is a member of editorial board of well reputed scientific journals (Language Policy, World Series of Language Policy, Studies inWorld Language Policies) in addition to that she has served as a Minister of Education of Republic of Latvia.
