Conference “The Changing Legal Profession: Perspectives on the Future of Legal Education”
In order to mark its 20th anniversary, Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) hosted a conference on 23 May titled “The Changing Legal Profession: Perspectives on the Future of Legal Education”. The conference gathered distinguished academics and professionals who shared their views on the transformation of legal profession and education in the light of increasing internationalisation, technological development, and digitalisation.
Professor Ineta Ziemele, President of the Constitutional Court of Latvia, RGSL faculty and a former judge at the European Court of Human Rights elaborated on legal education in a globalised and interdependent world.
Eleanor Sharpston, Advocate General of the European Court of Justice and RGSL Honorary Professor addressed the conference. AG Eleanor Sharpston, one of the most distinguished contemporary lawyers in Europe, shared her experience on litigating before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Professor Tibor Tajti from Central European University discussed new technologies and their impact on access and content of law.
