With the visit of high-level officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan RGSL has concluded the project “Latvian Experience in Transparency and Anti-Corruption for Central Asia”. The last of the five groups form Central Asia visited the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court of Latvia.
Since January 2018 RGSL has hosted 77 representatives of state institutions from Central Asia. The key idea of this initiative is to share Latvia’s experience in anti-corruption measures, reforms in the judiciary as well as increasing overall transparency in the public sector. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and financially supported by the government of the United States.
