Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) invites students to attend the Summer School “European Union’s Fundamental Values in Times of Crisis,” which will be held at RGSL premises from 4 to 12 August 2025.
The summer school will be organised as a study course consisting of lectures, seminar sessions, and study visits. The final session of the course is a debate, bringing together scholars and policymakers to offer a platform for discussing current challenges.
The topics of the lectures include:
• Protecting Fundamental Rights in the Age of AI
• Response of the EU External action on crisis outside the EU borders
• EU and the rule of law: crisis or controversies?
• EU enlargement: a potential overstretch?
• European Commission policy priorities
The summer school lasts nine days. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance and 4 ECTS.
We expect applications from Bachelor's and Master's students with a strong interest in European Union law. Participation is free of charge. Based on their motivation, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for a limited number of foreign students.
Please apply here by 28 February 2025.
