The editors of the Baltic Yearbook of International Law announce a call for papers for the volume 24 which will appear in 2026. For the purposes of this volume we would like to encourage international law and European law researchers in all law programmes of the universities in Latvia to submit their recent academic work for publication to the Yearbook. One of the special themes of this volume will be the tour d'horizon of the research work, including on global challenges and the possible responses within international and European law, carried out by the faculty of the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) as well as other researchers.

The Baltic Yearbook of International Law (BYIL) is an annual legal journal published by the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) in co-operation with Brill Publishers. The Editors-in-Chief of the Yearbook are Ineta Ziemele, Judge at the European Court of Justice and Professor of RGSL (Latvia); Lauri Mälksoo, Professor of International Law, University of Tartu (Estonia); Dainius Žalimas, Dean and Professor of the Law Faculty at the Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania). Articles published in the Yearbook are peer-reviewed and are indexed by the Scopus database. This gives a broader audience to the existing and future authors published in the Yearbook, as their articles are already and will be searchable in Scopus, one of the biggest bibliographic and citation databases of multidisciplinary scientific publications.
