The editors of the Baltic Yearbook of International Law (published at Brill) announce a call for papers for volume 22 on a theme: "Regional Developments of International Law in Eastern Europe and Post-Soviet Eurasia”.
The volume will inter alia draw on papers submitted at the ESIL research forum which was held at the University of Tartu in April 2023. However, beyond research forum papers, we invite any papers which deal with international legal issues related to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, developments of and challenges related to Eurasian integration and other regional developments which often have global or Europe-wide influence as well. We are looking forward to receive both theoretical and conceptual as well as empirically oriented and historical papers. The notion of ‘post-Soviet’ can be and has been contested, of course, and in the context of this call for papers it merely serves the role of geographic limitation. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed. Subject to the availability of funds, the organizers of the ESIL conference are considering an open access publication of this yearbook.
Articles should be submitted by 30 September 2023. They should be sent to the following address: ligita.gjortlere(abols)rgsl.edu.lv.
