On 19 August, the Riga Graduate School of Law launched a new project, the Baltic-Black Sea Legal Initiative: Empowering Future Ukrainian Lawyers. The Summer 2024 session welcomes 20 young Ukrainian law students from the Kyiv School of Economics, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and Ukrainian Catholic University. Over the next two weeks, the students will learn from Latvian and Swedish professors about European Union integration, Good governance, European Union Law and Human Rights
The project is implemented in partnership with Södertörn University and Kyiv School of Economics, and generously funded by the Swedish Institute within the framework of the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme – special call for Ukraine.
