Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) Bachelor programme Y1 students - Annija Grūbe and Adele Pužule have created the first RGSL Debate Society. They have 4 years of experience in debating and have been involved in organising multiple debate tournaments, lectures and workshops, and even leading a debate club. They are also active members and mentors in the Latvian Debate Association "Quo Tu Domā?".
The Debate Society meetings will happen once every two weeks about debates, argumentation, logical fallacies and how to debate about economical, political and social issues. The best debate lecturers in Latvia will be present in the sessions to pass on their knowledge to you - the students.
“Nowadays, it is said that the one of the main skills that employers value is critical thinking. Therefore, join the RGSL Debate Society to learn, to evolve and to develop your argumentation, public speaking and critical thinking skills,” says Annija Grūbe.
The first session will take place on 31 October from 19:00 to 21:00 at W23. For more information contact the students directly or follow the Facebook page - RGSL Debate Society. Everyone is welcome!
