To improve international collaboration RGSL has joined University of Innsbruck, University of Genoa, University of Groningen, University of Valencia, University of Zagreb and IPR Verlag in the EU funded project entitled Unalex – Multilingual information on the uniform interpretation of the instruments of judicial cooperation in civil matters. The project kick-off meeting took place 25-26 January 2016 in Munich, and RGSL was represented by Peter Gjortler, Director of the International Development Department. Participation in this project encloses different activities including a conference at RGSL, which is planned for June 2017, and which will have focus on EU instruments concerning choice of law.
Other activity RGSL took part was European Law Moot Court on 11-14 February 2016. University of Athens hosted one of the regional finals of the European Law Moot Court, and RGSL was represented on the bench of judges by Peter Gjortler, Director of the International Development Department. The regional final was won by a team of students from University of Gothenburg in Sweden, with London School of Economics taking second place. The competition has a total of 4 regional finals, and the winners from each regional final will compete in the overall final, which takes place in April 2016 before the real judges and advocates general of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
International cooperation has always played important role in RGSL life.
