Riga Graduate School of Law, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and other partners, offers a new modular version of the Advanced Programme aimed at public officials, as well as representatives of civil society and academiafrom the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) countries, Central Asia and Western Balkans. The Intensive Programme starts on 31 October 2016 and applications should be submitted by 15 August 2016.
The Intensive Programme covers 6 weeks. The eligible countries are set for each programme period. The eligible countries for the programme are: Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. The programme is funded by the government of the Republic of Latvia together with the governments of Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and United States of America.
The objective is to provide training that is useful with regard to the relations between on the one hand the international community and the European Union, and on the other hand the ENP countries, Central Asia and Western Balkans. It is also the intention to provide a knowledge transfer that is based on the experience of Latvia and the other donors in their international relations.
The programme is offered free of cost for the applicants. Cost coverage for participants will include travel to Riga and accommodation during the 6 week period of the programme plus a modest daily allowance for living expenses in Riga. Travel and other costs will also be covered for study visits.
Applicants must supply the following through the online application:
- Motivation letter
- Description of present job function
- Curriculum vitae, covering at least 2-3 years of professional experience
- Copies of university diplomas
- Recommendation letter from current employer
- Confirmation of ability to undertake studies in English
A selection committee will review all applications, and results will be announced by 31 August 2016.
